Keeping employees’ morale is always an important task, and even more when faced with the challenges and consequences of a pandemic. People missed so many important milestones with loved ones in 2020 but they stayed dedicated to their work proving that working at McDonald’s is not just a job. Graditude needed to be expressed – in a unique and compelling way.
A collaboration with Hovig (a well-known local singer who used to be a McDonald’s employee) took place for the creation of a song especially dedicated to the McDonald’s crew. The lyrics of the song represented what McDonald’s is for these people but also what these people are for McDonald’s.
Hovig toured around restaurants on “Employee Appreciation Day” (October 26) spreading excitement among employees and customers alike. The visits were recorded and a video clip of the song was created. The video was distributed on Social Media and via a Press Release. A radio ad thanking employees was also aired.
